The GIANT Room Partners with BrainPOP
The GIANT Room partners with BrainPOP to bring children’s insights into BrainPOP products.
The GIANT Room, The GIANT Room, an STEM+Arts innovation hub for children and families, is pleased to announce their new partnership with BrainPOP. This partnership will provide an opportunity for children to work alongside industry innovators and learn about a new BrainPOP product. We invite all children ages 5 to 8 years old to apply for a chance to participate!
Participation entails your child joining one free workshop. During the workshop, participants will engage with BrainPOP designers and learn about a new literacy game. This workshop will be held in person at The GIANT Room in New York City, free of charge.
Central to The GIANT mission, is the notion that all children should have access to quality creative STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) tools and learning experiences to build the world they like to live in. “We believe the best creative STEM tools are the ones that are designed with children’s point of view in mind, and even better, those that are designed with children involved in the design process,” said Dr. Azi Jamalian, founder of The GIANT Room. “Kids have wonderful ideas to share. If given the opportunity, they design the most magical tools, toys, and products that can enlighten millions of other kids.”
“Having a chance to participate in the design process of a real product before it is ready for market gives kids an opportunity to learn about the process it takes for an idea from its inception to full implementation”, said Dr. Azi Jamalian. “It is important for kids to see how some of the most talented designers in the world go through the process of prototyping, receiving feedback, and updating their designs until it is ready to be shared with the world. That’s the only way, kids will trust their own process of learning and creating, with open hearts and minds for failing forward and persistence. Even more importantly, by making prototypes of their own ideas and sharing them with the designers, kids will develop confidence in their ideas and believe they are worthy of paying attention to.”
All children are invited to join the workshop free of charge. Please be advised we can only accept a limited number of participants. If you have children ages 5 to 8 years old, we highly encourage you to apply soon.
