What Others Have Shared:

Make It Your Own:

    • What else can this origami paper form turn into? Maybe a shark with a mouth full of sharp teeth? Or a bloomimg flower? Or a venus fly trap?

    • With your fortuneteller, make a crystal ball or tarot cards using other materials, like tinfoil or recyclables.

    • Make another fortune teller. Instead of writing messages for each fortune, draw a work of art for others to interpret what it means for their future.

    • Some very young kids who are learning how to use their fine motor skills in their fingers and hands may have trouble using this origami fortuneteller. Invent a different fortuneteller that a toddler would be able to use.

    • Design a wearable to store your fortuneteller in, so that you can carry it with you wherever you go. Perhaps a secret pocket in your shirt? Or a cross shoulder bag?

    • Code a fortunteller using twinery.org! Have the user answer different questions to get their special fortune!

    • What can space and the night sky tell us about our futures? Include constellations, planets, and asteroids in your fortuneteller to help predict someone's future.

    • Using origami, paper folding techniques or a different building method, engineer a paper fortuneteller that has secret spots to include messages and fortunes.

    • How can you engineer your fortuneteller to have even more spots to write fortunes?
