DESCRIPTION: For kids who dare to wonder with sustainable power sources! In this workshop children become engineers, makers, and artists. They will create circuits and explore how solar panels can power lights and sound art pieces to be installed in the GIANT Wave Makers Festival.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS: This workshop will be lead by GIANT founders, Dr. Azi Jamalian, and Dr. Jessica Mezei. Azi has a PhD in Cognitive Studies in Education from Columbia University and bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering. Azi loves designing programs and tools for children to learn new things with confidence and joy. Jess has a PhD in Science Education from Columbia University. A former teacher and informal educator, from camps to classrooms, she brings curiosity and care to set the stage for learning.
