Clay modeling

DESCRIPTION: Create an assortment of things that excite and inspire! Learn simple techniques for making clay, modeling and sculpting it. Use your models for props in your stories, or figurines to play with or to mimic things you see around you. Decide the direction you want to take your clay creations and make an army of cats with torches in hand, or yummy looking food or even birds you see out your window.

Recommended for ages 5-10

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Nancy Chavarria is an artist, photographer, and graphic designer based in Brooklyn, New York. She received her BFA from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science in Art in 2017. She uses her knowledge of art, graphic design, and photography to nurture creativity and inspire kids to create whatever they set their minds to through art.

MATERIAL NEEDED: Play dough (or make your own dough using water, four, and food coloring)

PRICE: $20/session OR $75 for 5 sessions (you’ll save $5/session with purchase of a package)
