DESCRIPTION: Close your eyes and doodle to the beat and see where it takes you! . Listen to the sounds and make drawings based on the types of things you hear. Tune into the different feelings that music can evoke and turn it into your own art pieces. Join our GIANT DJ for an engaging sound experience that will get your creative expressions flowing!

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Jackie Traish is a 2020 graduate from the Mannes School of Music (MM and PDPL in Orchestral Studies) and a 2014 graduate from East Carolina University (BM in Music Performance and BS in Science Education). She currently lives in New York City as a freelance musician, teaching artist, and arts administrator. She has performed with the Mannes Orchestra and the Mannes American Composers Ensemble in venues such as Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and New York City Center, and has performed with world-renowned programs and ensembles including the Martha Graham Dance Company, the Metropolitan Opera, and the Brooklyn Youth Chorus. Her years of experience as an educator ranges across all ages and levels, in both music and science, through her work in different educational organizations and public schools across NYC and North Carolina.
