DESCRIPTION: Grab your favorite figurines -legos, pokemon, or even stuffed animals welcome- or start from scratch and build characters using recycled materials and arts and crafts materials. Make your figurines or new characters stars in a scene from your favorite stories. Learn techniques of set design from stage experts and tricks that animators use to bring stories to life on stage or screens. Join this workshop to make your directorial debut and set up scenes from your favorite books, movies or comics. This workshops is a whimsical mix of creativity, arts and storytelling.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Arielle is a Brooklyn based creative technologist and artist who has a background in communication design, interactive design, and physical computing from Parsons School of Design. She is completing her BFA in Design and Technology with a concentration in Creative Technologies, and a double minor in Data Visualization and Gender Studies. She is particularly interested in the process of bringing kids’ ideas to life through digital fabrication, such as 3D printing and laser cutting.
