Sat Dec 4th at Corlears: Games of Chance

  • Corlears School 324 West 15th Street New York, NY, 10011 United States (map)

DESCRIPTION: Join The GIANT Room at Corlears School for an interactive and engaging workshop full of hands-on creative projects. Open to the public and free of charge, families with children 3 to 12 years old are invited to join us with their big ideas, to build and share creative projects among the community. This week we’re going to design our own games of chance with DIY dice and spinners! What would you make your dice out of? What would you put on each side of your dice to roll? What technique would you use to make your spinner game? What would you add as options? What type of game would you design using your dice and spinner? How could you combine the two game mechanics to make your game even more fun? Perhaps you can design a spinner game to help you decide who receives your gift this holiday season or to help you choose a gift you can ask for? We’ll dream of different games, come up with cool ideas, and build them together. This workshop is a great combination of hands-on creativity, engineering, crafts, and art focused on family engagement and fun!

Recommended for ages 3-12
