Holiday Workshop: Winter Solstice & Yalda Tradition

  • The GIANT Room 550 West 28th Street New York, NY, 10001 United States (map)

DESCRIPTION: For kids and families who love holiday festivities! Join the GIANT team for a memorable Holiday event, learning about winter solstice and making a spread full of DIY candles, pomegranate, watermelon, persimmon, and nuts inspired by Yalda Tradition. We’ll start the event by drawing a magical galaxy full of stars and planets on a long roll of paper. We’ll then talk about Yalda tradition to celebrate the longest night of the year, make our own candles, go on a stargazing adventure with DIY LED magic, and set up a spread full of fruits and nuts made out of paper, laser cut wood models, fuse beads, and more. We’ll conclude the event by inviting everyone to sit around our DIY spread and share poems and stories with each other.
