DESCRIPTION: For curious kids determined to experiment with food! Turn GIANT's kitchen into a wacky science lab! You’ll be a food inventor, learn about the science involved in a variety of recipes, and invent your own amazing tasting (or not) foods. Every week you will create new snacks, treats, make cool gadgets for the kitchen, or simply do unexpected science experiments with things you may find in a not-so-ordinary kitchen. Think liquid nitrogen ice cream, frozen and foamy bubbles, testing Ph levels in our drinks, mastering the art of dough making, preparing food like astrounats, growing an in-door garden, edible and not-so-edible slimes (of course), DIY paper making with kicthen appliance, your own bubble making machine, rotating sushi table, and more... We will make our own menus and host an opening night to our cafes, ice cream shops, slime bar, pizza shop, or a super fancy restaurant with foamy bubbles on every dish served by super cool robots! This program is the perfect blend of science, kitchen experimentation, robotics, creativity, and socialization.
Kids will be picked up at dismissal time. From 3 to 3:30 they will engage in free play/making time while waiting for all of the participants to arrive.
Recommended for ages 5-8
We provide complimentary pick up from PS 11, PS 33, PS 41, PS 340, Avenues, and Corlears for those who register for the whole semester.
