Think Like a Scientist!

DESCRIPTION: What tools do scientists need to discover new things? Join this camp to make your tools and use them in the field to explore. Campers will learn about the natural world around them through a series of hands on experiments using a tool they build themselves each session. Construct your own thermometer, flashlight, barometer, magnifying glass buddy, collect your own samples and take a closer look. Turn the world around you into a science experiment!

Recommended for ages 6-10

CAMP FORMAT: Online

CAMP DATES: Week of July 5th (Skipping Monday, 4th of July holidays)

CAMP DAILY PLAN:

  • One hour live workshop, every day of the week (T-F) 10am to 11am

  • One hour live workshop, every day of the week (T-F) 1pm to 2pm

  • Additional asynchronous suggested activities and challenges to work on while offline

LEARN ABOUT

  • Scientific thinking and methodology

  • Building and using scientific tools

  • Taking samples, measuring, and reporting data

PRICE: $200/Week. Bring your own arts and crafts materials
