DESCRIPTION: For kids who dare to design and code their creative vision even before they can read and write fluently! Participants will explore a number of creative technologies such as Makey Makey, littleBits, MicroBit, and DIY sensors as well as coding platforms such as Scratch Jr, Code Spark, CoSpaces, and more. They will design and code games, gadgets, instruments, and other tech inventions for themselves and others to play with. This is a great introduction to coding for younger kids to gain fundamental understanding of coding concepts, develop their computational thinking skills, and learn about the process of prototyping tech in a super fun and engaging way.
Kids will be picked up at dismissal time. From 3 to 3:30 they will engage in free play/making time while waiting for all of the participants to arrive.
Recommended for ages 5-7
We provide complimentary pick up from PS 11, PS 33, PS 41, PS 340, Avenues, and Corlears for those who register for the whole semester.
