DESCRIPTION: For kids who want to be bold in ringing in the new year. Will it be the loudest yet? The best dressed? What will you make to bring your new years celebration to the next level. Learn techniques for making new years accessories that light up, shine, and maybe even make noise. Bring on 2021!

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Jackie Traish is a 2020 graduate from the Mannes School of Music (MM and PDPL in Orchestral Studies) and a 2014 graduate from East Carolina University (BM in Music Performance and BS in Science Education). She currently lives in New York City as a freelance musician, teaching artist, and arts administrator. She has performed with the Mannes Orchestra and the Mannes American Composers Ensemble in venues such as Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and New York City Center, and has performed with world-renowned programs and ensembles including the Martha Graham Dance Company, the Metropolitan Opera, and the Brooklyn Youth Chorus. Her years of experience as an educator ranges across all ages and levels, in both music and science, through her work in different educational organizations and public schools across NYC and North Carolina.

MATERIAL NEEDED: Paper, markers, scissor, tape or glue, recycled material, art and craft supplies

PRICE: $20/session OR $75 for 5 sessions (you’ll save $5/session with purchase of a package)
