Make it Move: Spin Art

DESCRIPTION: Use centripital forces to make unique art pieces. Bring paints or food coloring and let the motion guide the pattern. Learn techniques for how to create different patterns with motion and later different colors to make something new. Join this workshop for some spinning art and physics fun!

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Arielle is a Brooklyn based creative technologist and artist who has a background in communication design, interactive design, and physical computing from Parsons School of Design. She is completing her BFA in Design and Technology with a concentration in Creative Technologies, and a double minor in Data Visualization and Gender Studies. She is particularly interested in the process of bringing kids’ ideas to life through digital fabrication, such as 3D printing and laser cutting.

MATERIAL NEEDED: Paint (or food coloring), paper, salad spinner

PRICE: $20/session OR $75 for 5 sessions (you’ll save $5/session with purchase of a package)
