DESCRIPTION: Grab some paper and scissors and learn simple techniques to transform the paper into magical creatures. Create traditional Chinese symbols and creatures by just making cuts or folds in paper. Choose what color papers you want and bring to life many different things. Have a parade of dragons or wear an ox mask. Up to you, but bring your imagination and making mindset to this workshop.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Hongjin is a graduating master’s student of the Instructional Technology and Media program at Teachers College, Columbia University. She has a very persistent interest in human learning and focus her research on kids' collaborative learning experience design. Besides being a huge fan of innovative, technology-based classroom interventions, she’s a makerspace enthusiast, a nature lover, a Chinese/English/Japanese speaking chatterbox, and a marathon runner.
