Creative STEM on MONDAYS - Theme: Coding Games

DESCRIPTION: For kids who dare to design, code, and play their own epic games!

From pixel art and animation, to spinner games and games of chance, timers and timed games, mazes and pac-man style games - we’ll explore game genres, design, build, and play our own original games. We’ll learn coding fundamentals and logic to code our games in Scratch, Microbit, and Google Blockly.

Participants will learn about fundamentals in coding, game mechanics, game design, prototyping and play-testing.

This workshop series is dream come true for kids who love playing games, from arcade ones to digital ones.

Recommended for ages 8-12

FORMAT: In Person at GIANT Chelsea Hub

DATES: Mondays at 3:30-5:30pm, from April 25th to June 27th (Skipping 5/2, 5/30, 6/20 for public schools holidays)

  • Game design, prototyping, and fabricating physical arcade games, board games, and more

PRICE: $50 per session when you sign up for the full semester or $60 per individual session
