DESCRIPTION: For kids who dare to perform and trick the eyes with science, math, and wit! Ever wonder how someone did a magic trick? There are loads of things that seem like they shouldn't be possible, yet they are. Participants will try their hands at various experiments that will use simple physics and chemistry, card tricks, mathematics, and tech to wow an audience. Practice using forces like gravity and energy like magnetism and static, learn card and coin tricks, play with states of matter, manipulate temperature, play with number facts, and get use of tech to create exciting effects. Participants will also practice performance and stage presence! At the end of the semester, we'll have a magic variety show where we all perform our favorite tricks we tried or invented.
