DESCRIPTION: Half day or full day of dreaming, making, coding, and epic fun!
Join The GIANT Room at the Museum of the City of New York for the most epic creative STEM summer days and leave with gigantic ideas and new skills! During your day, you’ll have the chance to play around with our fabrication tools including a laser cut and 3D printer, sewing and embroidery machines, electronics, creative tech tools, building tools, arts and crafts materials. Every day we learn new techniques and concepts and practice thinking like an Inventor, Maker, Scientist, Engineer, Designer, Storyteller, Artist, Hacker, or Techie! We promise not a single day will be the same as the previous one. Join us any weekday, morning or afternoon sessions or full day drop off!
Recommended for ages 3-12 (Children younger than 5 year old need to attend with a caregiver)
FORMAT: In Person at the Museum of the City of New York (1220 Fifth Avenue)
DATES: July 17th to August 4th
FULL DAY PLAN: 9am to 3pm (early drop in and late pick up options available)
9am to 11:00am: Making, coding, experimenting, and playing (first experiment of the day)
11am to 11:30am: Lunch *Campers must bring lunch and snack*
11:30am to 1:00pm: Outdoor activity (weather permitting)
1:00 to 3:00pm: Making, coding, experimenting, and relaxing (second experiment of the day)
